Building on the energy and success of our inaugural 2025 conference, this year’s gathering expands into two full days of connection, learning, and collaboration. Now in its second year, this annual event brings together library social workers and library-based social services professionals from across North America to exchange innovative practices, share lessons learned, and explore emerging ideas at the intersection of libraries and social work.

The conference is designed to support library social work professionals at every stage, from those developing new programs to those sustaining and advancing well-established models. Attendees will explore topics such as community partnerships, staff training opportunities, funding strategies, policy development, program evaluation, and wellness/self-care, with opportunities to engage in both broadly relevant sessions and more tailored learning that applies to the unique contexts and communities they serve.

Plan to attend the Second Annual Library Social Work Conference in Kansas City, MO on November 5th and 6th, 2026!
